Dr. George Naff, Director, Spirit of America National Honor Band & Freedom Singers Performing Tour of Europe.
Former conductor of the Duke University Wind Symphony, and a former member of the United States Air Force Band, Dr. Naff enjoyed success on every level of instrumental music teaching...from his work with beginning bands to college and professional bands.
A frequent guest conductor for all-state, all-region, and all-county honor bands, Dr. Naff also judges more than 300 band, orchestra, and choir performances each year. Decades of teaching, conducting, and adjudication experience are reflected in his beautifully crafted music for symphonic band.
Dr. Rod Harkins, Music Editor, Spirit of America Press Music Publications.
Former director of the marching and symphonic bands at the University of Southern Mississippi and the University of Oregon, Dr. Harkins fulfilled more than 350 commissioned arrangement requests from outstanding high school and college bands across the nation. Recent arrangements include music for the BYU, Penn State, and Virginia Tech bands.
Since 1995, Dr. Harkins assisted many music educators with the integration of music technology into their music program. In April 2009, he served as a music education and music technology consultant at the International School of Curacao.
